Postpartum Doula
As a doula I provide emotional, physical and educational support to women during pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. I help the entire family make a smooth transition into life with a new baby.

I believe that a postpartum doula:
- Takes care of the mother so that the mother may take care of her baby
- Is knowledgeable of newborn characteristics and trained in their care, development, and feeding
- Helps promote parent/infant bonding
- Works to create an environment where the mother can rest, shower, eat, and take better care of herself, so she can take better care of her baby
- Offers education, companionship and nonjudgmental support during the postpartum fourth trimester by assisting with newborn care, family adjustment, meal preparation and light household tidying
- Offers evidence-based information on infant feeding, emotional and physical recovery from birth, infant soothing and coping skills for new parents, and makes appropriate referrals when necessary
My services include:
- Breastfeeding knowledge and support
- Nutritional awareness
- Newborn care
- Mentoring and nurturing intuitive parenting
- Nursery organizing
- Meal preparation
- Fielding visitors
- Light cleaning, laundry, and errands
- Companionship
